Johan spent the weekend in Saigon, taking a break from his work in Bangkok. We ate well and often. Here’s a sample.

Isn’t it great to be back in Asia? Though I am not sure I would have braved the Trung Vit Lon!
Comment by Yam Ki June 23, 2009 @ 6:11 amlol, Ki you should try it out, Trung Vit Lon is Balut, very popular in Philippines. Very delicious though it looks a little bit scary. We have it here in houston but it tastes not the same (maybe the way they feed ducks). If you don’t like its smell, I show you how. Just deep fry it with a lot of garlic (you boil it done -> get another pan, put a little oil -> then garlic -> wait garlic get smell, put the egg in lol remember to remove the shell first…) the it will be more tasty and less smelled…
